Sold Out - Available Next Session

This class is a creative alternative to pre-school designed to help children transition into a comfortable independence. Students will eat lunch together and then listen to magical stories and watch puppet shows, inspiring them to make many hands-on creations. We will do some circle work, create with paint, clay and mixed media, and engage in creative play opportunities. All materials are non-toxic and age appropriate. Don’t forget to bring your lunch! Parents are invited to drop off their child - or stay, depending on your comfort level.

(1a) Spring Parenting/Child Development Workshops with Ms. Molly - 6:30 - 8:30 pm

This series of three workshops will continue to focus on child development, and how can we best support our children at their unique developmental stage.

Our children are growing and exploring the world. If we help them too much we impede their experience of exploration, mastery, as well as independence.

However, if we don't guide them towards behaviors that are developmentally important/healthy for them, providing boundaries, limiting choices, offering nourishing food, and a healthy sleep life, we are  robbing them of developing a healthy habit life that will remain with them into adulthood.

How can our children gain an independence that is developmentally appropriate?

How can we nurture our children to be community members, as opposed to demanding individuals expecting the world to serve them?

How can we offer boundaries to support the development of our children?

My intention with these workshops is to offer a time and space to deepen our understanding of child development, our powers of observation, and to heighten our consciousness. With an understanding of child development, we are more keenly aware of what we can offer our children that will meet their capacities rather than frustrate or overwhelm them. With our powers of observations, we will be able to understand our children’s behavior, to offer them what they really need in that moment. And, with our striving for deeper consciousness we can be present for our children, saying what we mean to say, asking for what we want, and living with our loved ones in consciousness and present way.

If you have already joined us for previous workshops - please join us again - there is always something new to discover. There is always time for individual questions, we are learning from each other!
