This camp is designed for the older Create camper. This is a week that celebrates all things that is about storytelling and writing. During this week we will write stories, illustrate them, act them out, and animate them!  We will even practice our cursive and calligraphy! Calling all writers who love to tell a good story, this is the camp for you!

Each day includes two classes at Heartbeat House which include music and singing, yoga, capoiera, hip hop, musical theater, ballet, jazz, and more.

The rest of the day is spent at A Place to Create, which includes Ms Molly’s famous stories, art projects inspired by these stories, drawing, treasure hunts, and organic snacks.

(1b) Late Spring Parenting/Child Development Workshops with Ms. Molly - 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Ms. Molly

Thursday - 5/2/19
Thursday - 5/9/19
Thursday - 5/16/19

This series of three workshops will continue to focus on child development, and how can we best support our children at their unique developmental stage.

Our children are growing and exploring the world. If we help them too much we impede their experience of exploration, mastery, as well as independence.

However, if we don't guide them towards behaviors that are developmentally important/healthy for them, providing boundaries, limiting choices, offering nourishing food, and a healthy sleep life, we are  robbing them of developing a healthy habit life that will remain with them into adulthood.

How can our children gain an independence that is developmentally appropriate?

How can we nurture our children to be community members, as opposed to demanding individuals expecting the world to serve them?

How can we offer boundaries to support the development of our children?

My intention with these workshops is to offer a time and space to deepen our understanding of child development, our powers of observation, and to heighten our consciousness. With an understanding of child development, we are more keenly aware of what we can offer our children that will meet their capacities rather than frustrate or overwhelm them. With our powers of observations, we will be able to understand our children’s behavior, to offer them what they really need in that moment. And, with our striving for deeper consciousness we can be present for our children, saying what we mean to say, asking for what we want, and living with our loved ones in consciousness and present way.

If you have already joined us for previous workshops - please join us again - there is always something new to discover. There is always time for individual questions, we are learning from each other!
